Chrissy Barber

Hello, and welcome to my life, passions, and creative energies that are a part of my soul, with interest in art, science, fitness, human resources, traveling the world, and spending time with family.

I find art as fascinating as the world in which we live! As a child, I loved to draw, paint and enter art contests while winning several at a young age and, as a teenager, winning a military base art contest in which I placed 1st overall in a category. I enjoy experimenting with various mediums, my favorites being acrylic and watercolor.

I was honored and grateful to create art featured on the 2013 - 2018 Iditarod Air Force fuel cards during the Iditarod race in Alaska.

Mainly self-taught, I elected in art and science classes up into adulthood. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and am a certified National Road Runners Club of America Level II Youth and Adult Distance Running Coach.

I am also a certified Human Resource Professional through the Human Resource Certification Institute and the Society of Human Resource Management, becoming a Certified Professional.

Be a source of light for others

Life presents us all with challenges, and being there to contribute to helping another soul on their life journey is very rewarding. Being able to put yourself in their shoes and get a glimpse of their story takes empathy.

To be compassionate and to live the life you dream of takes a lot of courage. I take time to self-reflect and self-improve, hoping that someday I will reach the version of myself I envision in this world.

Through my art, I hope to inspire other beautiful souls to release their inner courage and let go of their self-doubts and fears. May they, too, become the best version in this world. Thank you to my family and friends who support me, are kind, and have helped me so far on my journey.

Giving back to my local community, and on a national and world level, brings happiness to my heart. Supportive throughout the years of various charities: cancer, diabetes, arthritis, heart and kidney disease, meals to help feed children/families, learning/school donations, disaster relief, in support of preserving nature, wildlife, and domestic animals. One person can make a difference and positively impact another's life. Even a kind gesture or a smile may brighten a soul and change their day/ life forever. Grateful for my family and friends who have supported me; I could not have done it without their kindness and contributions in some of my endeavors.
